Hydra, under the leadership of the Hydra Queen and Bravo, appear to be determined to make Captain America's life miserable. This is definitely the case in the 2012 issue of Captain America #15, "New World Orders Part 1." D-Man has become Scourge. Henry Gyrich has fallen into a coma. And if that wasn't all, Cap's ex-girlfriend, Diamondback, has been terribly beaten!
The Discordians are creating havoc all over Times Square. Falcon and Captain America are leading a team of heroes to fend them off, but their opponents don't seem to want to kill our title character. They just want him to stay out of their way. The other Avengers have been notified of this fight.
Meanwhile, Reed Braxton is spreading negative propaganda about Captain America, including his ineffectiveness to maintain peace and safety. His message is causing doubts among Americans. Sounds familiar, right? While this is going down, Hydra is celebrating a mini-victory on their Flying Island. The Queen and Bravo are having a difference of opinion with Zemo regarding tactics, but Zemo isn't here to lead Hydra. As attacks start happening all over the world, Captain America has it pointed out to him that the real Braxton is not the guy spreading fake news on the tv monitors.
Ed Brubaker and Cullen Bunn are responsible for this story of chaos brought upon the Joe Simon and Jack Kirby created character. Scot Eaton, Rick Magyar and Guru EFX were inspired to elevate this tale through their standout artwork within the panels of this book. The story will only escalate in the next issue when the violence comes to our nation's Capital.
