Becoming a fan of Venom has introduced me to the crazy world of symbiotes. Cult Of Carnage: Misery #3 takes this world to a whole other level. Reading this comic since the first issue, I know that Liz Allen is the widow of Harry Osborn. Raising two kids, Allen is also in charge of Alchemax, a company that performs experiments with symbiotes. An ex-employee of Alchemax, Corwin Jones, made off with many of the symbiote variants. Allen was injured in the process and the procedure involved with her healing led to her bonding with two variants that Jones wasn't able to leave the premises with. Both Carnage and Anti-Venom found their way inside of her. Meanwhile, Jones has Riot, Phage, Agony, Lasher, Scream and Toxin inside of him. You can see how Sabir Pirzada's story can lead to mayhem!
Everyone from Spider-Man to Dr. Steven is looking for Allen, who was taken by Jones to another lab. It did get confusing when the symbiotes were all coming out. Jones had his robotic dolls monitoring Allen's movements before he closed in on her. Francesco Mortarino and Java Tartaglia used great detail to display the fight scenes and show off the madness that was inside Jones and Allen.
The future was revealed heavily by the introduction of the new Symbiotechs. Things needed to become a little less human for this new squadron to work. I already have #4 in the collection and ready to go!
