Gettin’ my Games groove on!
Only one more day until the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games so I thought it was time to get in the spirit of things and head down the road a few hundred metres and see the Queen’s Bation Relay pass by.
I am not sure who the person was holding the baton but he sure was excited about carrying it. There were a lot people come out to see the relay, particularly little kids and families. My daughters were very excited to see the police and all the bells and whistles that accompanied the baton relay.
It’ll probably be a once in a lifetime experience and one that I won’t experience again. We are not going to any events that are ticketed but will probably go a watch the marathon and triathlon events just down the road.
