Introduction
Marxism is the socialist and communist philosophy and political program founded on the thoughts of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.
It is note worthy that the thoughts of Karl Marx in fact remains a utopian concept but not for long.
Many countries in the quest to carving a niche in history had adopted Karl Marx philosophy and made it their ideologies by exploring the socioeconomic systems but failed which stresses how abstract and utopian it is as concept to be practiced.
Utopian is a state of something being unrealistic or an illusion. Utopian is gotten from the word Utopia which means a world in which everything and everyone works in perfect harmony.
The 20th and 21st century has in the most part been a time when many unfathomable Not impossible things have come to realisation and many of them are considered a part of life today, but were they considered as such, prior to their invention?
Most often people were killed for making inventions which was considered outside what the people of a particular era held as normal, in most case it was called called blasphemy.
Marx predicted that, like previous socioeconomic systems, capitalism produced inherent contradictions that would lead to its self-destruction and this remains a utopian concept as there is no country of the world that had practiced socialism or communism that still practices any of the those systems.
For the most part they have branded their own form of capitalism that embraces their former ideologies.
But capitalism as a system in the Marxist trajectory is a stage which precedes socialism and communism but there seem to exist a backward movement for these Countries and this further exemplifies the utopian nature of the concept, but for how long?
What is communism?
Communism is a theory or system of social organization in which all property is owned by the community and each person contributes and receives according to their ability and needs.
What is steemit
Steemit is simply a social media platform where everyone gets paid for making and curating content.
What makes steemit utopian
When mentioned, Steemit sounds unrealistic, that one starts to imagine how a person can earn from just posting. steemit is something one can not touch, feel, see, or hold but it is actually touching lives, the figment of ones imagination
made real in the consciousness of humans
The connection between Marxism and steemit
Communism replaced socialism, Steemit is the final stage of social media and the future of social media.
Communism is a socioeconomic order rooted upon the common ownership of means of production while on Steemit the means of production is steemit.
they both reward according to ones ability and input.
in the various epoch of human conflict there has always been class struggle and this class struggle ushered in the next stage and there are traces of individuals who commit the class suicide to bring about a new level.
Same applies to steemit, has the what it takes to be just like facebook and twitter but it has commited a class suicide sacrificing it benefit and circulating it a large spectrum of people.
Communism as evisage by Karl Marx was to eradicate all forms of inequality in the society and abolish class conflict which hitherto societies suffer as a result of the inequality in society, making the lower class to overthrow the upperclass.
Steemit however, is a community where everyone can be a president or a Governor and practicing cummunal living where everyone works according to his ability (steempower) and the proceeds are shared with the community (curators).
