LIVING IN INTENTIONAL COMMUNITY IS SUCH A BLESSING...
I know that expecting blessings from your neighbor can be a bit presumptuous, O.K. A Lot PRESUMPTUOUS, but hear me out.
It's not that I have earned their favor, or have some how qualified as more worthy of being blessed than others. And it's not as if I'm not truly touched and surprised each time a neighbor of mine chooses to bless me.
You see, I've come to expect the unexpected blessings because they happen far more often than any one man deserves.
Like:
ALL.
THE.
TIME.
They happen so frequently that I should expect them by now, yet I'm still surprised each time it happens.
I PRAY THAT I NEVER TAKE MY NEIGHBORS, NOR THEIR BLESSINGS, FOR GRANTED
After considering the whole enigma of the unending blessings flowing my way and my undeservedness I was reminded by that I too have been a blessing to my neighbors. If one of my neighbors is in need I will drop what ever I'm doing and come to their aid. Not because I owe them, or they owe me. It's just
Cuz' that's what neighbors do!
They bless each other with unexpected blessings when ever they have the opportunity because they are more than just neighbors, they are like a family. They care for one another. They carry one another's burdens and share in one another's joy.
Well, that's what my neighbors do, anyways.
I know that's not the case for most of you reading this because I know that that wasn't the case for me before I moved to the land and community we are now a part of.
I've come to realize that the missing piece in most of our modern individualistic lifestyles are true, 24/7/365 intentional community.
Having neighbors like ,
,
and all the others who aren't on Steemit (YET) add another dimension of happiness that living in isolation from the lives around me can't offer.
If you are fortunate enough to live in community like me, let me know your thoughts.
If you don't live in community like me yet would like to one day, please share your thoughts also.
If you think living in a community like me isn't for you, I'd like to know your reason why as well.
Oh, yeah! If you're curious as to what got me so thankful and wanting to share how great my neighbors are, stay tuned for a short video I'll post tomorrow (Lord willing) that will explain why.
(It would have been a part of this post but after 2 attempts and a couple hours of trying to create the videos, Windows Photo Editor kept crashing with out saving my progress. Very frustrating! I will try my luck tomorrow at it.)
Thanks for Reading!
