We here at Community News have not posted for a while as our senior editor @SirKnight has been busy planning Steem Lord adventures and listening to cool British pop groups from the turn of the century.
It goes to show though - in the world of Steemit - you cannot turn your back for a second.
Firstly - a few words from SirKnight... (who incidentally enough, is enjoying a 12 Year Old Aultmore of the Foggie Moss, Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky - with a smooth, nice lemony vanilla flavour)

So a philanthropic push for communal growth had begun in an interview with a Steemit Elder.
Unbeknownst to SirKnight however was that an entire Steemit Hubs and Meet Ups trend was taking the Steemit world by storm.
'Being part of a community is important to many people. When you feel like you belong and have support from others in person, you may be much more likely to embark on the Steem journey online as well.
And the post has gone viral - with all proceeds going to the Steemit Parade of Nigeria.

Closer to our #teamaustralia home however, was the establishment of a whole new community, Steemit Phillipines 
"To grow the Filipino Steemit Blogging Community through positivity and empowerment."
Beautifully said - but what does this really mean?
Well we at Community News confirm two very important facts about this new Community...

It has also come to the attention of COMMUNITY NEWS that STEEMIT PHILIPPINES would like to work with TEAM AUSTRALIA (Steemit's fastest growing Community) to accelerate their ability to assist Filipinos in need.
SirKnight in his position as Secretary of TEAM AUSTRALIA has responded:

We at Community News have been most enriched by these recent 'Community' happenings within the Steemit ecosystem. We would also hope that many a Whale will learn from this. These are perilous times in the world outside of Steemit. Perhaps Steemit can make a difference. Unlikely though if petty quarrels persist.
It is time to unite, to give, to enrich.
We are Community News and we are hopeful about the future of mankind. A future that has not been overcome by greed, hatred and jealousy.
