The eight months I have been on Steem have been a whirlwind. I joined toward the end of May 2017 and just recently blasted past 3100 followers. Early on I met @Aggroed and joined , soon becoming a community moderator. Since then I have formed @TheWritersBlock with @Rhondak, creating a 650 member strong writers community with big plans to form a publishing house backed by crypto. We recently entered into an association with a large off chain community of writers with plans to attract more talented writers to Steem.
chose me among his original curators for @OCD and it's a task I still perform many months on.
I created my @Muxxybot curation account in July and have been sharing minnow posts, discovered by a 28 member curation team. The account curates six days a week currently.
Meanwhile I have been posting daily - sometimes up to five times - growing my account and powering down some to be able to afford my Steemfest trip last November. Thanks also to the rise in value of SBD, this past Christmas was the first time my family have not had to get in to debt. I made plans at the end of last year to become a Steem witness, and I did just that starting January the 1st.
For those unaware, due to poor health - I have Multiple Sclerosis - I have lots of time to dedicate to what I consider to be my job - doing what I can to grow not only my account and presence here on the platform, but to help others reach their potential and to succeed.
OK, we get it, you're busy. What's your point?
The GIF at the beginning of this post gives an idea of what it's like to run the ,
and
accounts, moderate at @MinnowSupport and run things at The Writers' Block. Every day is a juggling act, some tasks are more essential than others. Projects need to get started and kept on track, people managed, posts posted, replies answered etc. And you know what? I absolutely love it. Yes, sometimes when my health drags me down it can get draining BUT - and this is my aim with this post - there is a huge group of people that help, assist and support everything I do on Steem, who I am extremely grateful for. Without them I wouldn't be able to accomplish half as much.
I would love to name them all, but find such posts a bit bleh. I include everyone from the leadership team at and my fellow
team members. The Writers' Block is like a second family to me and I thank them all for everything they do to help keep The Block running as well as it does. It really wouldn't be the community it is without them. Thanks also to all of the Muxxybot Curators who scour Steem daily for tasty gems to share. I also want to thank everyone who has supported my witness campaign and those that assist me with any problems that show up with my server.
Finally, thank YOU for following me, supporting me and taking the time to read my blog.
