This is our monthly community delegation report. Our initial call for delegations was mid-December 2018. Since then we have already received many generous delegations from within our community, as well as from folks that saw what we are doing and want to support our efforts.
We are proud of the fact that our delegations are coming without the promise of financial incentive. Rather our delegators are supporting our effort based on what we stand for and the value we are adding to steem and to our communities.
At the time of writing this we have received:
22,813 SP in delegations
Thank you very much delegators!
Thank you to
who last month generously delegated 10,000 SP to

Special thank you to

. Thank you for your continued support!
Our use of delegations to support our community is fully transparent and is outlined below.
Here is what we are currently doing with our Steem Power:
Voting for Contributors
Our contributors are our leaders and our voices. They in part are helping steer where we are headed as a community. They are helping to highlight our vendors, explain our ethics, spur relevant discussions and engage steem as official ambassadors of our marketplace. Our contributors are receiving both beneficiary payout from our blog as well as up-votes on their individual accounts in recognition of their team efforts.
Voting for Vendors
Our vendors are steem individuals and families that are dedicated to sustainability in their lives. Many are willing to put their financial security on the line to do so - or go to extra lengths in order to make ends meet while they pursue sustainability. Our up-votes to our vendors are meant to help provide some additional reward for our vendors as a thank you for choosing to incorporate some aspect of sustainability and/or ethical care of the earth into their lifestyle and business choices.
Voting for Excellent Community Posts
Our community account is being managed by our group of Contributors. We are sharing the responsibility of voting, commenting and re-steeming. We each take turns on a weekly basis. Our contributors will identify and up-vote excellent posts in the realm of sustainability, homesteading, gardening and related topics. We may up-vote other community members and we also make an effort to up-vote content that does a nice job of highlighting Homesteaders Co-op and supporting of our vision and mission.
Voting for Charitable Organizations
We are sending up-votes to 's
charity which supports directing charitable donations to many "on the ground" charities.
Further we are up-voting 's comments to support
's work to keep families and their children together.
Voting for Top Delegators
We are up-voting posts by our top delegators of 1000 or more Steem Power as a thank you for the significant community support.
Voting on our own Posts for Growth
We are shamelessly voting on our own posts in order to continue to grow our SP which we can use for all of the goals we've outlined here in this post.
Voting for Witnesses by Proxy
We use our account to vote for steem witnesses by proxy for our community members, including those that delegate 100 sp or more to our community account. Please see our latest monthly Witness Voting Report for more details.
Outgoing Delegations
We are running a plankton support campaign headed up by . We are delegating out small amounts of SP (~30) to #homesteading, #gardening, #permaculture, #sustainability (and related) newcomers to the steem platform. We hope to help overcome the Resource Credit (mana) limitations for some newcomers and do our part to assist in retention of new steem-comers that show promise and value for the steem community at large.
We are also up-voting these plankton accounts to help them have some up-vote support for their efforts while they build their account. These delegations and up-votes will be removed if accounts are inactive for a month or more. Check out our latest Homesteady Helpers: HSCO Plankton Support and Curation post for more info.
Currently we are delegating and up-voting the following new accounts. Please feel free to visit some and show them your love!
Incoming Delegations
In addition to asking the community at large for delegations, we are also asking our vendors for delegations. We are suggesting delegations from vendors with over 100 SP. However it is not mandatory and we will not be policing who is delegating and who is not. We are only asking to those that can comfortably afford it and want to contribute to supporting our community effort.
It is our hope that delegations come from those that believe in what we are doing for the community at large.
Now is the time for us to ask you to consider delegating. Delegating is a way for anyone to take some stake in our community. It is a vote for our efforts, our ethics and our mission. Thank you for your consideration.

How to Follow Our Curation Trail on SteemAuto
You can follow the curation trail to automatically up-vote the same posts we vote on (as outlined above). This is an easy way to support our community with extra votes.
Instructions to follow our curation trail:
- Sign in to https://steemauto.com/ with your account via SteemConnect
- Click on Curation Trail button
- In the Search for a Trail search box enter homesteaderscoop and click search
- When you find us, click Follow
- Click on Settings
- You can change the voting weight percentage (%). Default settings is to scale into the vote at 50%. That means if we vote 20% on someone, you will vote 10%. If we vote 100%, you vote on them at 50%.
Decide a percent of your voting power you are comfortable sharing with the posts we vote for. Your voting habits and the spare voting power you have on a regular basis would influence how much percent you have available to share. If you're not sure, start with a lower percent like 20% for example and see how that works. You can adjust it higher or lower at any time, you can also un-follow a trail at any time or pause a trail at any time.
You can keep track of your voting power at steemd: https://steemd.com/
Another feature SteemAuto has on the dashboard is "Limit on Mana". Consider raising this from 70% to 80%.
