This morning I didn't roll out of bed till about 10 am, because I didn't go to bed till after 3:30 am. I was playing in my paints and having fun, although this morning, I'm wondering why I stuck with it, because the unfinished piece that is there this morning doesn't look like much. Too muted... arrrggghhhh... but Oh Well !
I decided I would work on a post while I sipped my morning coffee. I thought I would put up this post from the garden market. It IS spring here and it seems an annual spring flower post was in order.
I got up to go get my first cup and then thought I should put in a washing of clothes and load the dishwasher so that they would be "working on it" while I created my post.
There was also some clothes left in the dryer from another day, so I stopped to take those out and put them away.
I came back to my desk and before downloading the photos I began to think maybe this wasn't the post I wanted to do.
I had another little art story and it seems there could be something else. In the mean time, I got up to reset the washer and take another photo or two that I might use for that other post. While up, something else needed putting away, so I did that.
Back at my desk I edited some photos, not extensive, just a little cropping or lighting. I didn't get that done before something else drug my attention way, so I got up and left my desk once more.
While I'm telling this let me admit, I can't even tell you how many times I have gotten up from here to go do one thing or another and did multiple things before I landed back here.
One time while passing through the living room, I remembered a letter from my credit card company. I have not used a specific card in YEARS and they were saying if I didn't use it at least once in the next 50 days, it would close.
It's 3:48 in the afternoon now.... remember, I started attempting to do this around 10:30 am. I just got back to my desk, yes, since the last sentence above, because I have some chicken breasts boiling and my timer said I needed to check on them. They are done, but I didn't take them up because I want to let the water run out of them so they will toast on the bottom... .lightly of course, not burn, but that means the water needs to run out and then you stand there and watch it till the bottom of the pan (and the chicken) turn a light toasty brown. It makes the outside of the chicken taste better in my opinion.....
Back to the credit card... so I remembered I needed to use it to keep it and I wanted to do that. I would say I don't really need it and if we weren't sliding down into a recession right now, I would probably let it close, but times are uncertain and since we can't see around the next corner on what may happen, I decided to keep it for a little longer, just in case. That caused me to make sure it had been activated since I received the new card (in the last couple years...LOL).... but that also meant I needed to find what I had done with it. I pulled out my credit card file from the file cabinet in case I did the right thing and threw it in there. Was it in there ?? ... of course not ! There were about 5 others since back to around 2008 for the same account that had expired and had never been thrown out ! I searched through other areas that had papery things that needed filing or going through again and was beginning to think I wasn't going to find it... .then I did.
I couldn't remember if I activated it when I first got it or not. Then I attempted to go online to my account, which I haven't done in years and it wanted to call me or send me a text, but my number has changed and I no longer had access to those numbers on the account, I had to call the customer service, who then transferred me to the fraud department to verify 50 things to make sure it was me before changing my phone number. Of course it was all annoying, but I kept patience because I am glad they do that in case someone else would be trying to take my account. Finally that was done and I thought maybe I would go to Amazon and buy something quickly (always something I need)... in order to have the whole issue out of the way. In the end, I didn't order anything, so I will still have to use the card soon to keep it.
🙄
How much time I used doing that I can't really say...LOL.... and still, my post was waiting to be done.
Good Golly Miss Molly... it was time to put clothes in the dryer and more in the washer and....
Did I ever decide which post I actually wanted to do?????
Meanwhile... .back at the desk I was working again on photos, these and some others, still my mind was not made up.... then....
Something else in the house called to me and I had to go do that and while I was up I noticed the dishwasher was done, so I unhooked that (it's a portable) and moved it back in place ... and while there decided I wanted to put on some chicken breasts to boil...
On the way back through some small trash cans needed to be emptied.
Checked around to see if there was any other trash that needed to go in the can. Stopped and took more clothes out of the dryer, hung or folded them and put them away.
Back at the desk.. .oh no!!, my coffee was cold....
😏
Off I go again, getting coffee, putting another wash in.....
heading back... taking more photos... downloading....
Editing again... OMG... OMG... it was WAY past noon....
Good Lawd Girl !! I said to myself, it's after 3 PM... just do the Garden Market Flower post like you planned too and get the darn thing done !
So I down loaded the photos and got them loaded for this post. Then I could smell the moist air from the boiling chicken and I had to go turn them down and put a lid on the pot.
Right after I finished typing the above sentence, I remembered the boiling chicken again (and you couldn't tell it has been over 45 minutes, can you?) was about out of water. Jumped up, went to the stove, took off the lid and stood there to wait. No leaving it again at that point. Now it is done. I took some photos to show you what I was talking about... ahahahahahahahaa... more photos ! Really ?? I'll decide in a minute !
I'm funny, right ??
So the day I went to the Garden Market and took these photos last week was to see if there was anything else I wanted to take to my Mom for her birthday or Mother's Day. I had given her early birthday money to spend on flowers for her porches and didn't really need something else, but you know, is there any such thing as giving your mother too much?? I think not !
I didn't find anything I wanted for her, but I did come home with this geranium for beside my front door.
I also bought this begonia for myself, which I don't know the name of, but I think there is a tag in it so I can look later.
I liked it's sweet cascading flowers. I don't know where I will put it yet, but for now it is sitting on my little bench on the front porch.
My Mom's birthday was on a Saturday that you may have seen in my previous post and Mother's Day was the next day. When I went out again on Mother's Day, my Mom had bought ME a flower !
So pretty !
....and colorful. When I stepped out on the porch to take this photo, some ants were in a line, trying to move into it. No way ants ! Not this plant ! Not today !
Well.... if you have put up with me so far, I hope you enjoyed the photos of the flowers at the Garden Market. It is 4:36 now and soon I will be posting this. Can't believe it took me ALL day !
I'll post the chicken boiling down in another post. That sounds boring right, but I want to show you.
Jeepers Creepers... you know I luv ya ... right ??
