A couple of years ago, my sister passed on a few fun Christmas things as she was changing ALL of her decor style. One of them was this nutcracker, however, it seems while he was in storage, he got hungry and ate the top of the candy cane off that he was holding in his hand. You can see the bottom of it poking of the bottom of his fist. He is such a fun fella though, you may not notice if no one said....
It did cause me to pose him with his mouth open instead of shut. LOL !! Appropriate.... right??
I do kind of fear for the gingers in his other hand, but so far.... they have managed to survive.
My rolling kitchen cart has become my microwave/coffee center. This fun group of Christmas doodads has made it a happy little Christmasy place.
The Santa Gnome hanging above was made by one of my nieces. So creative and adorable !
One festive group !
Loved this happy little snow baker. Can't remember where I purchased her or how many years I have had her, but I'm sure at the time I couldn't resist her with the frosting decorator on one hand and the tray of gingerbread cookies in the other. I've done a lot of cake and cookie decorating in my life, so she was SO relatable.
I found this fella at a CVS a few years ago and loved it. It is fashioned in a nutcracker style, yet is NOT a nut cracker. Standing on a creme filled cookie, peppermint legs, frosting in his epaulets and the bottom of his jacket... and a nice fat cone of softserve ice cream on his head..... what on earth was there not to love about him? He was so ME. I looked and looked online and in other local stores believing that certainly he was not the only one of his style line, but to this day, have never found any.
A vintage ceramic tree? Why yes it is, but not a store bought one. Another of my sisters made it in her BC years...(Before Children...ha ha)....She made one for herself and my Mom and My Grandmother. Years ago when Grandmother passed, the tree came back to my sister. She still had the one she made herself and after storing this one for years, last year offered me the one that had come back to her and I gladly accepted it. I've always liked them, but had never bought one for myself. (Don't pass out, I don't buy EVERYTHING I see !).... I know .... it's hard for me to believe too ! ha ha
And then there is this glittery fella. Such a sweet snow face and perfect for the kitchen. This little baker is actually a light and when turned on, the colors happily change slowly as he stands there smiling, holding his cookie, spoon and pie.
That about covers that area. Hope my happy little Christmas things gave you a smile.
Do you have all your Christmas Ducks in a row? I'm trying to get the last ones in line myself.
