Holy crap this week has gone by fast! It’s Thirsty Thusday in the SPL! Here’s today’s “Today in the SPL.” Please support the league with your upvote and come out and play with us!

Brandonk hits a full house with two board pairs, leaving @Manny80’s pocket jacks helpless

• There was a lot of great action yesterday. Here’s a quick rundown of the winners:
• Late Tuesday night, Hive account@jakeybrown took down the 2 SBD Heads Up Showdown.
  Nice work Jakey!
• In the 10 SBD @Dontstopmenow freeroll, Hive account@jsock defeated powerhouse Hive account@celsius100 heads-up to win the tournament, 3.60 in chips, and a Tucket satellite ticket for the Saturday freeroll.
• @MichaelLuchies (Hoodish) won the Hive account@followbtcnews 5 SBD freeroll, because of course I did. Newcomer @NewTreeHints put up a tremendous fight to take second.
• 37 players came out to play in the Hive account@pcste 10 SBD freeroll. Hive account@iabuse kicked my butt in heads-up play and walked away with 3.60 in chips and first place.
• The 20 Wangchange freeroll took place late Wednesday, and the winner will be added to the next Today in the SPL. Thanks to @MrWang for hosting!

New Freerolls

We have a brand new freeroll to announce thanks to Hive account@inthenow! Every Thursday (TONIGHT) at 9 PM CDT, there will be a 2 SBD NLH tournament. Bring your jammies and bedtime tea and play some poker with us. Oh, and upvote Hive account@inthenow’s post here to help him earn some of his donation back and make sure he feels our love (that sounds worse written out than it did in my head).

Remember when Hive account@bacchist/ Hive account@pokering hosted a 3 SBD HORSE tournament? Well this week, it’s a 10 SBD Heads-Up NLH tournament. Up to 16 players will go head-to-head. The tournament will start at 12 PM Central. Make sure to register early for this one due to there only being 16 spots open. Thanks, Bacchist!
