There is a whole lot to love about the communities which can be found on the Hive blockchain. I thought I would take the time to share a few of my faves.
The Cinnamon Cup Coffee community's tagline says everything you need to know about why I'm a fan of the folks from all around the world who gather together to share their love of coffee....and yes...even sometimes tea. ;-)
C/Cinnamon Cup Coffee: A Virtual Coffee Shop For Hive Blockchain.
I have found a wonderful group of folks who share stories (and recipes) around their love of coffee. Each story adds such a rich vibrance to my own love of coffee. Much appreciation to who nurtures and guides the community.
The #WednesdayWalk community has brought the world to my doorstep through this weekly walk challenge. I have seen villages and cities through the eyes of the people who walk paved and congested streets or wide-open dirt roads. I have enjoyed getting to "walk in their shoes" seeing what they see while they share thoughts about their corner of the world. Hat tip to for encouraging each and everyone's Wednesday Walk posts.
Hive Blog Post Month #HiveBloPoMo only comes around 2x/year, but I enjoyed the daily prompts for the November challenge and am looking forward to the April challenge coming soon. Some of the prompts brought up long-forgotten memories of times and cats long since passed. Some prompts challenged me and others were a fun romp in creativity. Kudos to for giving the blogging community a proper month-long blogging challenge. You certainly caused me to shake some dust off my blogging chops.
National Journal Posting Month #NaJoPoMo was a first-time event and new to Hive. There was a handful of us who participated. I did not complete this 30-day challenge, yet I felt like I gained so much from the very act of participating in the challenge. This caused me to reflect and think about journal writing. Mostly about my resistance to it. Even though I have many journals floating around. Kudos to for creating a brand new 30-day challenge and hosting it on Hive.
Finally, I'll end with the community I created for National Podcast Post Month #NaPodPoMo which was new to Hive, but not new as this was the 14th year of the 30-day podcasting challenge. It was a joy to bring this event to the blockchain and exciting to have a handful of Hive folks join. Podcasting daily for 30 days is no easy feat, so I appreciated the folks who dug in for the long haul and successfully completed the challenge.
All in all, there is so much to love about the vibrant and global communities here on Hive. I know I've barely begun to scratch the surface and look forward to more community goodness in the years to come. I am glad #CommunityDay prompted me to write this post. Cheers!
