As I was pondering what subject to talk about for our community series tonight, I stumbled upon this picture.
For those who don’t know, this picture is of Conor McGregor and his beloved, Dee Devlin.
When the two of them met, Conor was a no- name MMA fighter and a man without a job.
Dee saw a dream within Conor, and while things were still bad, she stood beside him and helped him through the building years.
Today, Conor and Dee have a son, and 100 million plus in winnings to enjoy. Conor says all the time, that if it were not for Dee he would not have been successful.
Whether it is a friend, spouse or mentor, few of us make it through a hard time without help.
My battle buddy has always been my brother. When I was states apart from my disgruntled renter, he was one to step in and handle what I couldn’t.
When he struggles with being single, and not being able to get a second date with a girl, I am the one he calls.
Most of us have that person or persons we count on when things get tough. There are many stories we could share about how a faithful friend gave us that lift just when we needed it.
Who is that special person in your life that you count on? Do you have a story you would like to share?
“A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.”
Proverbs 17:17
