This photo was taken at the Kilohana Lookout at the end of the Alakai Swamp Trail in Kauai, Hawaii on December 20, 2014. We were here for our honeymoon, and hiked this trail through the highest elevation swamp in the world. The hike took a couple hours, and we were incredibly fortunate to have a clear vista at the end (as we had heard many stories of people reaching the end to only see clouds or fog). I always find the spectrum of greens in this picture amazing, and it all almost looks fake. The hike was grueling, but it was all worth it to have lunch at this lookout.
