Is the Mandela effect true or just a case of mixed up memory?
But first what is the mandela effect. The Mandela effect is a phenomenon where people remember history different as it is today. Some say we are switching from parallel universes caused by the CERN experiments.
It is called the mandela effect because a rather large group of people remembered Nelson Mandela dying in prison in 1984.
I didn’t think much of this until more occurrences started to come up that to my own surprise, I seem to remembered it being different as well.
To give you some examples.
In the movie Forrest Gump the scene on the bench with the box of chocolate.
I remembered : mam always said, life is like a box of chocolate, but in the movie it is was instead of is. Life was like a box of chocolate.
In Star Wars the Dart Vader scene with Luke, where Dart Vader says No I am your father.
I distinctly remembered Luke I am your father.
Also C3PIO has a silver colored lower right leg as I remembered it was gold and I grew up in the Seventies.
Now this could be memory mixup, for instance in Forrest Gump , his mother says the same sentence but she is using is instead of was. So our memory could playing tricks here.
However having said that the actor who is playing the role of Dart Vader himself is quoting the line as Luke I am your father. it is even in the original script.
So what do you remember?
