In 2014, after Jeffrey Epstein was already a convicted sex offender, William Burns met with Epstein three times, including at Epstein's townhouse. Back then, Burns was Obama's deputy secretary of state. Today, Burns is the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Whether or not anything untoward happened, the association is troubling.
Around 2015, cultural icon Noam Chomsky was also hanging out with Epstein. Here's a quote from an Insider article about it:
The Wall Street Journal, in an exclusive published Sunday, said it had obtained Epstein's private calendar, which outlined numerous meetings with high-profile people, including Chomsky, the famed academic and political activist. When the Journal reached out to Chomsky for comment, the linguist had some choice words. "First response is that it is none of your business. Or anyone's. Second is that I knew him and we met occasionally," Chomsky ... told the Journal. ... Chomsky said he discussed politics and academics in his meetings with Epstein.
When I was a kid in the '90s, I liked Chomsky, though I was only vaguely familiar with him. To be honest, I didn't really give him any thought for many years. When Chomsky again showed up on my radar, it was because he became an outspoken proponent of medical fascism. Specifically, he was advocating the segregation of the unvaccinated. This position, which was a popular one for a brief moment, struck me as indefensible, and I lost all respect for the man.
Upon learning that Chomsky was a buddy of Epstein's, I wasn't surprised. Of course the ivory tower intellectual was friends with the child sex trafficker who had cameras monitoring the bedrooms and bathrooms of his townhouse. Maybe their association was innocent. Just two elites talking about whatever it is people like that talk about. But it's entirely possible that something less savory was going on.
Burns and Chomsky are just two of many dozens of prominent individuals who surrounded Epstein right up until his most recent arrest. It's unlikely that all of these people were complicit in Epstein's crime ring, but it's even more unlikely that none of them were involved. And even relatively innocent associates provided cover for Epstein's predatory activities. The more prominent these associates were, the greater their value in legitimizing Epstein's activities in the public eye.
Given Epstein's extensive surveillance of his properties, there are probably terabytes of incriminating data hidden away somewhere. Some of this data may be in private hands. Some of it might be filed away in a government warehouse somewhere. But given the extensively documented relationship between Epstein and important people from various countries, it seems like this data could've easily fallen into the hands of intelligence agencies.
Intelligence agencies routinely leverage compromising information to further their agendas. Given the way information is compartmentalized in these agencies, if the CIA is using the Epstein data to compromise targets, I wonder if Burns would even be aware of it. Presumably, but I get the impression that CIA directors don't always know everything that their underlings are doing.
