I'm not a fan of the holidays either. I've gotten pretty good at just tuning them out. I'm genuinely surprised and speechless when people ask, "Are you ready for Christmas?" I don't know whether to say yes, because there's no readying to do, or no, because I haven't done anything they would associate with being ready.
