In my youth, big conspiracies were rare. Of course, the JFK shooting as well as the shooting of several civil rights leaders in the 1960’s was very suspicious, implicating establishment figures, but that was about as far as it went. Issues such as the flat earth conspiracy, Moon landing being faked and others like it didn’t become established until after film technology became sophisticated enough to fake many things, which wasn’t until the early 1990’s and the early internet.
When the phenomena of fake news became established by the mid 1990’s, many of these stories which weren’t taken seriously as truth began to create questions. Suddenly many people realized that there was so much that we just do not know. This is what the word “agnoia” in the title means: the lack of knowing. In Greek, this word also has implied with it a kind of fate also known as ananke which is translated as “necessity, force or constraint”.
What is the value of truth? Does it tell us about the nature of reality? Or is it merely a means by which we can create consistently well formed decisions that lead to a favorable result? In my opinion, nothing beats a well defined efficient cause as an explanation because they produce the most consistent results that can be depended upon (at least on the physical level). However, there are times when efficient causes are not readily available or easily understood. I wrote about this in Why I don’t believe in Astrology (but still use it).
I’ve spent more than four decades studying astrology which has something to say about the nature of our reality. But some don’t call it “truth” because the system of logic doesn’t use efficient causation. However, secondary causations such as material causes, and formal causes (and Aristotle would also add final causes) can generate “truth” with some consistency although with some error or deviation due to the level of indirect connections in the chain of influences.
What is interesting is that in Greek thought, ananke is thought to be subservient to nous which is related to consciousness or the “divine mind”. Within the wheel of the zodiac, nous (or knowing) is most commonly associated with the Sun and Moon (the lights) and agnoia with Saturn or darkness. It's one of the reasons why getting an “idea” is associated with a lightbulb sparking in your head…
They form a series of opposites in the 12 fold division of the zodiac (the lights shown on the left in Cancer and Leo and the places of darkness, Capricorn and Aquarius on the right side):

While agnoia is often associated with ignorance or unwit, ananke, or necessity is often associated with the planet Mercury in astrology. In fact, the lot of necessity by one formula uses the position of Mercury and by Valens formula uses a combination of Fortune and Spirit to derive Necessity (the lots of the lights which are the Sun and Moon). Because of the favorable relationship that agnoia (Saturn) has to the places of Mercury (necessity), darkness is said to favor constraint and the letter of the law, but nous (the lights) favor the spirit of the law (Jupiter).
We currently live in a world that uses not knowing (Agnoia/Saturn) as a means for using force (Necessity/Mercury). Notice that in the Thema Mundi, the relationship of Saturn to Mercury is one of agreement (trine). This video is a live demonstration of this principle in nature…
The answer that authority frequently uses is “that’s not my department” which is just another way of using necessity or force to achieve a desired end. How did we get into this position? The use of Trust is the answer, which is rooted in the Byzantine Generals problem.
The process of corruption is basically taking some principle which originates in the divine mind (nous) and then switching it to its opposite through agnoia (ignorance or unwit) and the letter of the law (necessity or force) which leverages the ignorance of the public. This suggests that since nous is superior to necessity, that a solution is created by throwing light on the subject (make those cops famous on YouTube).
Now how useful was this explanation? I didn't use efficient causes here, but it works for astrologers because it makes sense of a predictable pattern. The same might be said for flat earth theories. The reason why I don't go along with flat earth theories is due to Occams razor. I used mathematics in my calculations for planet positions (using topocentric coordinates) which requires spherical trigonometry to account for parallax. There are too many mental contortions necessary to make flat earth theory work when a spherical model works much better mathematically. Picture of my astrology software below.
The same can be said of astrology. If there's a good efficient cause, it can render an explanation by astrology pointless. Nobody has successfully mathematically created the one single theory of everything. A famous example is the dichotomy between quantum theory and relativity theory in the explanation of light as a particle or a wave. The reason for the disunity seems to be due to the principle of the Dyad in Plato's Same and Other.
There is another solution though when it comes to issues of trust and that is to eliminate the need for trust (which is very Pluto in Capricorn - the so called "trustless" solution of bitcoin). Examination of the patterns in the Thema Mundi with the transits of our current times suggests an important culmination around 2020 when Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto meet in late Capricorn. The theme suggests a drastic overhaul of the legal system due to systemic corruption (world wide).
These planets however aren't causing that to happen any more than the hour hand hitting the 5 on the wall clock causes the rush hour. However, life does follow a pattern. One of the efficient causes is the creation of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies which with smart contracts will upend the legal system.
