The root cellar has sat half finished since February. On the ceiling in the back you can see where the carpenter left openings for running the vents to the outside. There’s a warm air exhaust on the left and the cold air intake on the right.
I had to figure out the exact parts I needed and the length of pipe to run the cold air across the cellar diagonally. I spent most of Sunday morning working on it. Then I started searching for the parts online. It looked like Lowes had almost everything, but not the store near me. So my tenant and I set out in the truck on Sunday afternoon for the city half an hour south of me.
I should have called, I guess, to verify the parts were there. But there was no pipe and without the pipe, we couldn’t do much. I still need a blast gate, and another 45° elbow or 2.
So this project won’t be started this weekend. The tenant is going to do the work once I find pipe.
