As promised I went and took some photos of the damage I mentioned yesterday.
I have no clue how they even damaged this as they shouldn't have been in this area of the house to begin with. This area was complete and ready to go till they did this, and I have no clue how it could have happened because there was nothing in this area to work on.
Now I am pretty sure I know what happened here along this wall. The end of the wall at the studs was slightly off and not and not square. I have come to the conclusion the guy they sent out had no clue what he was doing because a shim piece at the top was the fix for it then the drywall and trim being put into place, but instead they removed the trim and tried to remove the drywall and when that wasn't going to work they put up the trim piece and left the damage.
We found a new problem today
Pictures speak louder than words so let me just show you then I will comment on it.
Yes that is Ice
So since we don't have any utilities hooked up yet and there has never been any water ran through the pipes we know there is no burst pipes that caused this, so that means the roof isn't done correctly and when the snow on the roof melted some got into the walls and now the electrical panel will have to be defrosted and dried out at best and at worst replaced completely. I am livid.
My contact with the builder knows
I called my contact with the builder to let him know he is livid too. He promises that he will work on getting this fixed right away. Out of the people I have dealt with he seems to have his stuff together, but we will see how this plays out. I just want to move into my house. I can't keep affording to pay the interest on our home that we can't move into and rent. Thanks to Steemit we have been able to swing it so far. Thanks you to my readers without your upvote my family would be facing being homeless over all of this.
