We Draw The Letter M, My Entry

Wood Block

I chose the title wood block because that is the texture that I want my letter to show with some wood grains and patterns.

Here is how I made my entry :
1.) I was using the drawing style and colors from my previous drawing about elves. I used a brush with grainy look and effect

2.) Using the same brush I started filling the base with this shade of color. I didn't have to think about the color choices like I said I borrowed them from my previous drawing and this saved me time

3.) And because I had saved time, I can focus on creating the texture which will eat up more of my time.

I worked on the wood grains using black on those fine lines. I'm good with what I see here but time permits I can add highlights and finer details but this look is just right.

4.) Last detail is the background. A simple shadow and faint light source will further define the letter.
