Jerry Banfield made a video saying that he is walking away from his steem witness server (or so he says) due to the censorship that is happening. It is kind of a big deal since he "was" a top 20.
What we have left is steem cleaners.

Sorry if you live there but the situation there is relevant to where steem is now. People in power or gaining influence over a system only to wreck it.
I am sure the people at steem cleaners are still patting themselves on the back for wrecking my free vote giveaway. We sure showed that guy a lesson ...... yes you did :)
It is lucky for us that in crypto you can still vote with your wallet when greedy retards take over.
Not one time did anyone from steem cleaners say hey we are sorry or made any attempt to right the wrong they did to me and my account. I am sure they have made zero effort towards the other thousands of steem accounts that they have down voted.
Steem cleaners started with a good purpose. To fight fraud and abuse. They have veered off course. Now they are the censorship police. If they don't agree with or like your post, down voted. If they feel like not enough effort was put into YOUR post, down voted. If the people "working" at steem cleaners with 100 sp in there account think you are making to much money off of your investment, down voted. If they "insert here", down voted.
