What is DnS
You’re witnessing my humble try for transmission of unique DnD like gameplay onto the Steemit’s platform. All the players have all the freedom in the world to choose their next actions. The only obstacle is the ruthless Dungeon Master (that would be me) trying to kill them at every other corner. Only the best (and the luckiest) ones were able to survive up to this point. The previous chapter can be found at the end of this post.

Action plan
I signal Makhel and we hastily retreat. If we can get a head start on the other group we break and run for our human companions. As we near the humans I shout the command to form up and to use magic to form the earthen barricade as scattered hurdles behind Makhel and I. When we reach the humans Makhel and will take our position in the formation. I order them to hold their attack. When the orcs approach, I call out to them to identify themselves and who their leader is. If their leader is my friend, I identify myself and tell them I wish to speak to their leader. If they are not followers of my friend or attempt to attack, I order my squad to attack.

You made a run for it. The only possible way how to get through this fight was to regroup with your mages. As the group saw you trying to run away, the immediately followed you. Luckily you had quite some head-start. As you were nearing the rest of the group you shouted the command to use earthen spells to slow the approach of the opposition. The dirt immediately started forming in front of you, but you still managed to casually run through it. All the mages already had bows with notched arrows in their hands and were awaiting your command, while strengthening the earthen obstacles. The orcs were already wielding their axes and obviously meant only harm to you, so you gave the order.
The orcs reached the created obstacles and tried to get over it. Half of them haven’t proved to be athletic enough and ended on the ground. The still-running-orcs met with arrows. (DICE ROLL) The very first Dagen’s arrow pierced right through the right leg of the first orc. (DICE ROLL) Arle kept up the accurate shooting and hit the same Orc to his chest. (DICE ROLL) The last arrow that hit, cut the orcs mouth open. After all those hits the orc stumbled to the ground.
The delayed orcs recovered and continued towards you. Antalem and Goyrus switched to swords and shields and joined the front raw. (DICE ROLL) Dagen was doing extraordinarily well and managed to pierce head of one of the nearing orcs. The well-aimed arrow instantly killed him. (DICE ROLL) Arle drove his arrow deep into next orcs left hand. (DICE ROLL) Fronden totally withed his shot.
The orc previously slowed by the earthen spell were not too far away by now. (DICE ROLL) The orc that was forced to the grown by the arrows didn’t fight off the pain and was still pinned. First orc finally reached you and was met by the whole first raw that quadra-teamed him. (DICE ROLL) Antalem managed to strike first, but was effortlessly blocked. Goyrus followed up (DICE ROLL), but only managed to scratch his right leg. The foe was an elite warrior. (DICE ROLL) all the pressure was too much for the enemy. You managed to take an advantage from it, waited for the right moment and easily dealt with the threat. (DICE ROLL) From all the archers, only Fronden pierced the body of one incoming orcs. The rest of the arrows just flew by.
Just before the rest of the orcs reached you Dagen managed to fire one more (DICE ROLL) but missed. And then the rest of the orcs (but the one still lying on the ground) were on you. Antalem managed to strike first at the weakened orc that decided to attack him (DICE ROLL), but was easily parried. Goyrus double-teamed one of the orcs with you and attacked him (DICE ROLL), but fucked up so badly he stumbled to the ground. The orc then dodged Goyrus’ attack immediately and counterattacked (DICE ROLL), inflicting fatal damage. (DICE ROLL) Makhel’s foe was effective too and cut open his left hand. (DICE ROLL) Your avenging attack was nearly as effective and only scratched his right leg. (DICE ROLL) Makhel missed completely. Antalem was luckier against his foe and managed to strike him down. The archers had hard time aiming at your foes while they were fighting with the rest of the group, but they had to take the shots. (DICE ROLL) The Orc that was previously hit got hit again to the same spot by an arrow and was shrieking in pain, while (DICE ROLL) the other arrow missed everything.
Dagen was ready again (DICE ROLL), but missed. Since Antalem killed his foe he quickly tried to help Makhel that was having problems with his enemy (DICE ROLL) but didn’t inflict any damage. (DICE ROLL) Your foe tried to catch you off guard, but you managed to do so instead with an unexpected dodge. With your counterattack (DICE ROLL) you managed to finally kill him. All of the party members were at the last standing orc now, (DICE ROLL but he has still managed scratch Makhel’s body one more time before he went down. Executing the last crippled orc was the easy part. You will live to see another day after this exhausting fight.

Inventory: Double-headed axe of high quality on your back, 2 daggers at your belt and one tiny dagger attached to your boot. Pouch of water (1)
Abilities: Remembered 3 easy formulas of random spells and 1 advanced formula
Army: Around 245 Orcs, 5 “Warlocks”
Action plan
" Fall back to the middle of the column brothers!" "Get everyone in a defensive position and create cover with the wagons, gather all the shields and mount a shield wall there " As I shout the commands I called for my best warriors to gather as quickly as possible to the center of the improvised fort "BROTHERS GET IN A DEFENSIVE POSITION ON ME" Inside the improvised fort we gathered and prepare for the upcoming assault The orc will have to come to us in a narrow path, making it difficult for them to use their numbers.

The warriors immediately tried to form a barricade using the caravans. Most of them gathered inside, awaiting the opposition. After a while hordes of warriors started pouring out from the darkness. The warriors have been fighting tirelessly for hours in the rain. Heavy casualties have already happened, but that was to be expected. This was a war. The hordes of incoming Orcs though have not been dwindling. New forces were incoming all the time. This was no coincidence, but obviously a planned ambush. Your column had to be spotted, or maybe a betrayal happened…again. There was no way how to tell and it didn’t actually matter anymore. What’s done is done. The fight wasn’t going well. Good warriors have been lost every minute while the uninterrupted flow of enemy reinforcements was still pouring in. It then occurred to you that the battle was actually already lost. All you could have done now was to take down as many with you as possible. Your mind was so occupied that you have totally forgot about the unknown spells obtained on your journey that could have inverted battle completely. All too late now. Last few orcs were decapitated by your axe, but then something struck you from behind…darkness enveloped you… DEAD

Action plan
We wait inside the tunnel for the heavy rains to subside. During the rain, we take the time to use our tarps to collect rainwater to refill all of our available containers. Fully stocked up on water now, and when the rain finally stops, we take a moment to finally prep the poison components for our arrows that we had been neglecting and prepare it for use in future combat ,if possible, treating the arrows with it carefully to make them more dangerous, but leaving some untreated for hunting purposes and marking those with notches in their shafts for quick distinction by feel.
Then we leave the shelter of the tunnel entrance and decide this time to go in the completely opposite direction from where we had just been before. We slowly and cautiously set to travelling that way, mapping again as we go, noting significant landmarks, staying aware, and observant in all directions around us. And we walk. Until we see something interesting or something happens. Honestly, we would prefer to camp at the tunnel or even return home, but the encounter with the otherworldly being made it clear that was possibly a bad idea. So we walk. With no idea what to do but map and go into a straight light, the tunnel receding behind us, and mapping as best we can. As we walk I think over the magic I have might be able to use here and decide to give something a go.
I ask every one to pause for a moment, and try to cast a spell of clairvoyance. Trying to gain some vision of what the hell we should do, which direction we should seek to travel in and what the hell might be coming our way. Mostly, our instincts at this point, with days away from home, two dead and morale sinking, is to amble along slowly and warily, ready to spring into action against orcs or wild creatures, seeking anything we might keep to kill for food or plants we can recognize as safe and pick to eat, to supplement our rations, and we walk. We just frigging walk and map, away from the way we had been before.
Result
The rain was heavy and lasting. You decided to wait for it to end in the tunnels, but it took much longer than you expected. At least you had plenty of time to gather the rain water…an to enjoy the dry meat in the safest place all around you. You also had time to hold communion with yourself about the missed opportunity to find the poisonous plants in order to create a venom that could have potentially been used on the arrows. The day off allowed you to fully replenish the energy. With nothing else to do you decided to sleep through the rain. When you woke up and checked the weather outside, it was shining again. Time to go into the wilds again…
