What is DnS
You’re witnessing my humble try for transmission of unique DnD like gameplay onto the Steemit’s platform. All the players have all the freedom in the world to choose their next actions. The only obstacle is the ruthless Dungeon Master (that would be me) trying to kill them at every other corner. Only the best (and the luckiest) ones were able to survive up to this point. The previous chapter can be found at the end of this post.

Engagement
I place my boot on the dead orcs face and pry my axe from his skull. I look over my surviving companions and smile. "Not bad", I whisper to Makhel, "not bad at all. Even though these little humans seem weak and frail, they are valuable allies. We could use a few hundred more of them." To the party I give instructions, "Search the dead, gather anything of use, I don't know if you have any rituals you need to perform for Goyrus, but if so be quick about it. If you have been wounded, come here and let me examine it." I inspect everyone's wounds and administer what aid I can, making sure they are cleansed and bound at the very least. I then take my knife and slice off a couple tasty looking orc steaks from one of the fallen, preferably the youngest and most tender looking of the dead. I pass half to Makhel. Once the humans have finished tending to their dead we move off about 200 yards from the battle site and make camp in as secluded an area as we can find. We pitch camp, eat a meal, set a watch and everyone rests. Before I settle down to rest, I scout around the campsite to see if there is any water near. If I find some, I will make sure everyone refills their canteens. In the morning we continue our journey to my friend’s camp. Since Makhel is wounded he will remain with the group and Antelem will scout ahead with me.
Result
Makhel nodded with an obviously painful grimace. The humans refused any kind of ritual that would drain more of the precious energy and time. It was raining throughout the whole day and heavily at that. Your first priority was to make some distance between your future camp and the battlefield. When you have managed to do so, the humans started preparing the camp, while you and Makhel filled the canteens with rain water. You then returned back and feasted. After that you checked Makhel’s wounds. The one on the left hand looked badly. One of the humans came over and said that the wound needs to be stitched up. When the procedure was done, the group went to sleep.
Next morning the journey continued. You were already close to your friend’s camp. Since Makhel was injured and needed to chill for few days before the stiches could be removed, therefore you chose Antalem to go with you. Together you have passed by few guards undiscovered. It was still very early in the morning, before the sun even rose. You sneaked to the back of the village where you friends hut was. As usual, two guards were positioned in front of the only entrance. You had to come up with a plan…

Action plan
Then we leave the shelter of the tunnel entrance and decide this time to go in the completely opposite direction from where we had just been before. We slowly and cautiously set to travelling that way, mapping again as we go, noting significant landmarks, staying aware, and observant in all directions around us. And we walk. Until we see something interesting or something happens. Honestly, we would prefer to camp at the tunnel or even return home, but the encounter with the otherworldly being made it clear that was possibly a bad idea. So we walk. With no idea what to do but map and go into a straight light, the tunnel receding behind us, and mapping as best we can. As we walk I think over the magic I have might be able to use here and decide to give something a go.

Trying to gain some vision of what the hell we should do, which direction we should seek to travel in and what the hell might be coming our way. Mostly, our instincts at this point, with days away from home, two dead and morale sinking, is to amble along slowly and warily, ready to spring into action against orcs or wild creatures, seeking anything we might keep to kill for food or plants we can recognize as safe and pick to eat, to supplement our rations, and we walk. We just frigging walk and map, away from the way we had been before

Result
You finally emerged. You remembered how about a week ago you met a friendly orc at this exact spot. Since then you have not only lost the mysterious orc, but also 2 of your former classmates and friends. The mood was grim, but the mission was more important than you might have thought prior to meeting the masked entity. The week ago when your journey through the forest started, you chose to follow the orcs path directly to the North. This time you followed your gut and decided to go to the exact opposite direction – South. The maps and writing utensils were already in your hand and the mapping has started again.
The “clairvoyance spell” helped the grim mood at least tiny bit. No one knew what their purpose was anymore, what grand schemes you’ve gotten yourselves into. By this time it was already too late anyway. You had to walk. From time to time you had to stop and have a snack. During one of those three ork suddenly appeared right in front of you from behind a bush.
