The aim
As promised a spotlight article is here. I will introduce to you all the surviving players, what have they been through and what choices were the crucial ones for survival. Hopefully people new to my blog will be able to understand what is going on in their storylines and follow the action from now on with more insight. The finals are here! Show some love to the players, they have been through a lot!
– The last Human
I knew from the first moment that will be a tough competitor. His DnD skills could have been seen right from his first plan. He succeeded where others failed. He spent the time before the mission more than well. He brought sufficient amount of consumables, equipped himself well, didn’t forget waterproof tarps and learned some magic. His mission was simple. Leave the underground empire and get to know as much about the outside as possible (get to know the races better, create maps, etc.). On his way to the destination he didn’t fall for a nasty trap that meant death for half of the contenders. Not only he dodged it, but he dodged it with style. Using his own words “The light is too inviting, too easy. Nope, nope, nope.”
After he finally emerged he was greeted by a starving Orc (player controlled). Instead of terminating his competition he offered him food. They travelled together for a while, until the Orc decided to go checkout on his friend in nearby camp and never returned. While continuing with the mission, his party was met by 6 patrolling Orcs. With luck the opposition was destroyed, but one of the Orcs managed to escape.
– The last Elf
Sometimes cowardice pays off.
– One of the 3 surviving Orcs
When he woke up in his destroyed camp with all his people dead. He swore revenge. Luckily he has managed to find he old friend Makhel still alive and continued onward with him. Together they won a fight against 2 patrolling orcs and that very day during the nigh
The group was waiting for the Humans for a couple of days, but no one emerged. Makhel almost fucked up his knee, but with tons of luck avoided injury while falling from a tree, where he tried to gather some fruits. then decided to enter the tunnel themselves to find the humans. Both Orcs were soon stopped by underground Human guards. After sharing the vision with them, they decided that they will blindfold you and bring you to their leaders.
– One of the 3 surviving Orcs
All the Orcs started at same position. though did not find Makhel and decided to cause problems to the Orcs alone. He also decided to go and meet his friend in a nearby camp. He managed to find something no one else did though – a warlock’s spell book. Struck by the same visions, you decided not to change your course and continued to meet your friend, while learning some of the formulas.
When he reached the camp he managed to distract the guards and sneaked into his friends hut. After a long dialog he was persuaded to join you in your efforts. Getting another camp leader to your side was a huge accomplishment. You used an ongoing invasion into Elven territory to your advantage. You persuaded the workers in the camp to join your side and ambushed the tired warriors that returned from the invasion. You now were on your way the wall that is dividing Orcish territory from the rest of the world, with a newly found army.
– One of the 3 surviving Orcs
managed to get the most out of his time in the destroyed camp. He not only rescued Makhel, but also an Orcish family (mother with 3 sons). Firstly he only wanted to escort them to the camp where his friend lived in, but got persuaded on the way there that he shouldn’t let go any firepower. On their way to the friend the group went through 3 fights, losing Varf (the youngest son). That did not stop him though. Sustaining the whole party was pretty hard, but he managed to keep everyone alive and at full strength, with only some injuries from the fights.
Your friend in the camp was already dead though. Different leader replaced him and lead part of the Orcs into the Elven land to exterminate some of the elvish camps. He decided to follow him, and when the time comes, kill him. The leader of the camp detached from the main army to destroy the first camp on the way with less than half of the Orcs involved. He followed them in order to kill everyone. When they were underground, the group saw the last stand of the Elves behind the barricade. He told the family to stay out of this and went in. With a very ballsy move and Makhel started chopping the Orcs from behind. When the Elves spotted your effort they created a wooden barrier around the group. Very soon he got hit to head though and lost consciousness.
When he woke up he realized that the whole group was tied up in the camp. The Elves tried to communicate with . They “told” him that he was the one who killed the Orcs AND Makhel. Despite that
convinced the Elves to work together with the Orcish group. They then spent whole night with one Elf and tried to teach him as much as they could from their language, because he was supposed to join them.
