CONTEST STATUS: CLOSED FOR THIS WEEK

Hello all steemians. This is to invite all steemians to participate in my Poem writing competition. Submission closes Thursday 24th May, 2018, 6:00am West Africa time.

Carefully read the rules below:

Rules for qualification to be selected (Ten simple rules only)
Accepted Language: English

1. You can write a poem on anything.
2. Preferable not more than 200 words and not less than 30 words.
3. Steemits accounts of 35% or above account reputation are the only ones qualified to submit an entry.
4. Entries submitted starts Every Mondays 6:00am (UTC+01:00 West Africa Time/Central European Time) and entries are close every Thursdays 6:00am (UTC+01:00 West Africa Time/Central European Time) (which is a period of 72 hours).
5. The contest is opened in 72 hours from Mondays 6:00am (UTC+01:00 West Africa Time/Central European Time)
6. Uses of figures of speeches are allowed; that is the beauty of it all.
7. Your poem must not be copied or a previous entry. Each week entry must be a different poem from the previous ones.
8. Submit your entry as a comment on each of the contest post every week.
9. At the end of your poem, include the tag “poem2018” without the quote.
10. I will comment on entries submitted ASAP.
11. To be selected resteeming and upvoting of contest post will be an edge for selection.
12. Be creative. Do not copy others poems on the internet. I will always find out.
    Method of announcing the winners
    There shall be two winners every week. The winner with the best entry wins 5 SBD and the first runner up takes 3 SBD (The prices and number of winners will be increase with time).
    Winners will be announced every Saturday 4:00pm (UTC+01:00 West Africa Time/Central European Time). And new contest post will be published by Hive account@focygray by Monday 6:00am. It is a weekly competition.
    At the end of each month, all winning poems will be review on the last Wednesday 4:00pm (UTC+01:00 West Africa Time/Central European Time) of each month. The method of selecting the monthly winner will be left for all contestants to vote for the poem of the month from the list of the reviewed poems. The winner goes home with 7 SBD (The price will be increase with time and numbers of winners will also be increased)
