Hey again everyone! It's been a while. Hope you're doing swell!
We're getting really close to the start of season 2 and I wanted to make a quick update to go over a few things including the last community vote session.
First I wanna say that it's been extremely slow on our discord, only a few people have been regularly checking in.
It is a bit concerning, but I think there's some good reasons why that is the case.
I guess that's to be expected to some degree since not much is going on in our community with the contest on a break... Though hopefully in the future we can find a way to get the marketplace more active year round and not just while our game is in season.
Plus I think steem in general is just very slow because of the decreased value of steem and a lot of the drama/politics/issues going on.
Second.. I've been working my butt off behind the scenes to get things ready, we have a couple new art pieces being worked on right now and..
I've seen the early work in progress picture of our new castle. :) It's not done yet but so far I'm extremely excited about that.
Third.. I do still plan to start season 2 before January is over, though I think it's going to be late January.
Also.. I don't think I will have time to do any radio shows beforehand, I will most likely have to do those after we start.
I also will likely not be able to send youhavewings her prize and trophy until after the next season starts as well, I'm just swamped and spending every free second I can trying to things ready.
Oh! Another important thing is.. It's time to start looking for another full time judge or two, and guest judges as well.
At this point I still can not afford very much pay, so.. Please only sign up if the money doesn't mean much to you.
It will probably be similar to the pay of last season which ended up being 10 steem for each full time judge. However this season will be much shorter than the last one and a lot less work so it should end up being higher pay in that sense.
Also.. Hopefully we hear back from curie in regards to the application we submitted or find other sponsors to help, and if we do then we can increase that pay.
That's another thing.. I don't think I'll have time to go ask all of our previous sponsors if they will still support us this season until after the season starts.

Now.. I think that's all the main things on my mind at the moment, let's cover the recent voting session.
Here are the results of our recent votes in regards to season 2.
Here are the issues we voted on.
#1 Should we do the castle under the earth hiding from the greys or the spaceship castle through outerspace exploring the universe?
#2 Should we have a new champion each time or a defending champion if they are available and we someday get enough funds to properly reward such?
#3 Should we keep awarding the post payouts to winners of individual rounds or put it towards the IFC?

Okay now here are the different issues and how many votes they each got and with more explanation where necessary.
#1 Spaceship Castle or Underground Castle?
Overwhelmingly the community has decided to move into outer space with a spaceship castle with only bengy voting to go underground.
#2 New Champion or Defending Champion?
Consensus is a new champion each season with the potential for championship battles in the future if we get the funds to do so and if the champions themselves agree and are up for it.
#3 Keep awarding post payouts to round winner or put it towards IFC?
The majority wish for us to split the round winner payouts, a few people expressed percentages, though it was not clear enough to make a decision from in regards to what those percentages should be.
I was thinking about just deciding unilaterally to make the payouts for rounds won 50/50 because I personally think that sounds fair and because steem is so slow right now we might not get many votes with around a week or a lil more till the next season starts, however.. After thinking about it for a while.. I still think it's best to ask the community.
So.. This will be the last vote before the next season starts.
Please answer if you read this, what do you think the percentage should be for the winner of each individual round in regards to how much steem they get from the payout of that post and how much of it should go to the IFC?
