Whatever happened to Season 7 of the STEEM-Pocalypse Survival Game Contest?
Man, the STEEM-Pocalypse contest was huge success. It even birthed a few spinoffs like the STEEM-Pocalypse Show and the 'Pocalypse Poetry Contest. At the moment though, life is hitting me hard. I've got a ton going on and I am really appreciating the break from running that contest. Even with help it was still a very time demanding and mentally fatiguing game to run.
That said, I do plan on starting it back up again, just not yet.
NEW CONTEST IDEA?
In the mean time, I was considering running a different contest, but using the same player-elimination / growing prize pool style that the STEEM-Pocalypse had. I was considering some sort of "daily selfie challenge." Basically, I would come up with certain criteria for the selfie on a daily basis and players would then have 24 hours to post a qualifying selfie. Players who missed the deadline or fail to meet the requirements would be eliminated, and the rest would continue on to the next round.
Since "selfies" are so popular anyways today, I thought that it would be a good challenge. Also, since people really don't make money off of selfies, I thought that this would go a long way into showing the difference that steemit makes. Perhaps someone will even take home a few hundred dollars in the contest.
Besides the final prize pool, I would also award points for each round for things like the "best selfie" and the "most creative" selfie. This way individual players would have a chance to earn some SBD even if they did not win the contest.
It'll also provide us with some fun, creative, and entertaining community interaction during the downtime from the STEEM-Pocalypse game.
