Solomon Islands and Tahiti are scheduled to play their OFC Under-19 Championship semifinal game on 2018-08-16 at 12:00am EST. Solomon Islands finished 1st in group B by winning all 3 games with a 1 goal margin of victory over New Caledonia, Fiji, and Vanuatu. Hosts Tahiti finished 2nd in group A after narrowly losing their opening match to New Zealand then winning their next 2 games over Papua New Guinea and Tonga without conceding a goal. Solomon Islands have never won the tournament but finished runner up in 2011 while Tahiti's last championship was in 2008. The winner of this match will advance to the final and will also qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
