Corn is one of the plants used as raw material for staple food in many countries. A corn farmer, started his crop breeding by planting corn seeds. After three to four days the plant will appear on the soil surface. Corn plants will continue to grow to be big. Three to three and a half months, the corn fruit can be harvested by the farmer.
Corn fruit shaped like a cob on At first it was a flower. Cornflowers have fine strands of hair at the ends. There is pollen in the hair. The pollen will fly with the wind when the wind blows. The pollen is carried by the wind, some will fall on the stigma which is located at the bottom of the flower on another corn tree. That's when fertilization occurs.
After fertilization occurs, the cornflower continues to develop until it becomes a corn fruit. This development can be observed from time to time. Corn fruit will be ready to be harvested when the corn hair is brown and the cob has dried. When the corn is peeled it will reveal yellowish corn kernels. The part eaten by humans is corn kernels.
So that corn is always available as human food, corn farmers must replant some corn seeds from their harvest. Old corn kernels can be replanted. From here will start again the breeding of corn.
