You know it would be easy to look at my life, at the world, and despair. Sometimes it feels like just as you're about to get over some hill, reach some point of clarity and climb your way out of a rut, the world comes crashing down around your head.
That's the way I felt when the coronavirus went from a blip on my radar to something that required me to reconfigure nearly every aspect of my life.
But any disaster that doesn't leave you completely destroyed offers an opportunity. Now is a time to focus inward, to reach for those corners of our minds and souls that we so seldom encounter because we're so damn busy dealing with the outside world.
It doesn't have to be huge changes. Nothing Earth shattering. Just take one step at a time. And as The Bride infamously said in Kill Bill: wiggle your big toe.
