Health and the economic systems
During these dark days of the pandemic, countries chose to respond differently in front of their common enemy. while China made a goal out of saving as many lives as possible, the US seems to have decided on prioritizing the economic system over the health care one.
Where does your country stand?
Well South Africa has been downgraded to 'junk' status by ratings agency Moody's, so the economy doesn't need anymore pressure. Our state power utility has been bailed out by SA spending R138 billion this does not look good for the long term.
Now add the Corona Virus Pandemic and imagine the fear that will soon grip the country with the biggest inequality gap in the World.
Well Cyril Ramaphosa President of the Republic has taken a stern stance in fighting the pandemic, with the country in lockdown for 21 days he also has implemented a home to home screening to flatten the curve.
There's no telling where we will be by the end of 2020, but as the opening words of our rainbow nations anthem declares
