The scientist advising the UK Government on the Coronavirus, you know, the same scientist who originally predicted half a million deaths in the UK, but then dropped the figure to 20,000 deaths - well, this scientist, Neil Ferguson is saying social distancing may need to stay in place until a vaccine is found.
The BBC reports [1]:
Prof Neil Ferguson told the BBC there was "little leeway" to relax measures without "something... in their place" - such as testing and contact tracing.
The UK must keep a "significant level" of social distancing until a vaccine for coronavirus is found, a scientist advising the government has said.
Why on earth the Government are still using this guy and his clan of merry men and women from the Imperial College is anyone's guess - but apparently they are?
The question is, are we heading for mandatory vaccines, or at the very least will life for those who chose not to vaccinate be very limited, i.e. no travel, no school, no medical care, limited work opportunities and so on.
The next question is, are people going to accept this?
