Heya !
Welcome on this new post about my Miku With You costume ! At this moment, we're three weeks away from the Miku Expo so the rush begins. At this point, I already knew that I wouldn't have the big bow in the back with the two train and it wasn't a big deal for me. They won't be dirty !
In parallel, I decided to take a new step in the cosplay game : I decided to present this costume for the french championship qualification ! So my final deadline was on the 1st of february at 6pm ! At this time, we were around the 22 december. So I had one month to finish it (a little more).
Some days later, I recieved my Christmas gift with some more things to continue the costume. I received my pointe shoes, a black petticoat (in reality 2 as I wasn't sure about the puffiness of the petitcoat) and that's all. I then went shopping for this costume : I needed the flowers on her head and leg. I found a pot of pivoine, the flower she has on her head, and some decoration for flower pot.
Let's talk first about the pot decoration. First, let's see a photo.
The decorations
I decided once I saw them that it would be incredibly cool to have feathers on the bust instead of this piece of fabric a little weird. So I cut the long metallic stick and sewed them when I returned back from my vacation on my bust.
Feathers cut and sewed on
This thing I learned quickly is that it didn't want to stay on the dress so finally I had to glue it on the dress x) (oh and I forgot to tell that I hid the base of the decoration with a single feather glued on).
Then, on the pointe shoes ! I didn't want to wear them at Miku Expo as it's not cheap so I just prepared them for the FIBD. I bought some small rubber band and sewed it by hand to keep the end of the shoe on my heel. It was hard, I hurt myself a lot by sewing this as the shoe is very thick. But I was happy and those shoes definitely add something to the hole costume in my eyes ! Of course I tried to be on pointe and I discovered how much it hurts but I won't replicate it unless I'm on a shoot with something to hold me. For my prestation I also discovered that I would need to learn how to walk with these as the front part is very hard (you can't be on your toes with those shoes).
Sewing on ballerina shoes
When I returned at Angoulême, I decided to start the headband. My first step to do was creating the base. So I reused some leftover from the top and sewed a tube before getting the right side on the outside so that everything will be neat. I closed the other edge by hand and add two pression on it.
Steps for the headband
Before that, I got onto the collar. I took some black ribbon, some pink and blue ribbon. The black and the blue had the same length and width, the pink was very small (3mm if I remember right). I started by making a black collar closed by a pression button. Then, I took some interfacing, glued it on some black ribbon and hid everything with some blue ribbon (so the interfacing is taken in sandwich). I had to redo the ribbon later as it was ridiculously small. Oh and I sew by hand the pink ribbon on both the ribbon and the necklace.

At this point, the costume was like that.
The costume on 12th of january, 4 days before Miku Expo
And I'll leave you here for today. I still have one or two post left for this costume (depending on how much I have to descirbe). The saddest part is that as I've rushed it, I don't have a lot of pictures of the process of the train :( I'll have to add them later as I have to unsew almost everything in order to burn the edges of the satin.
See you soon ! :)
