Hi friends,
Today is a very important holiday in Costa Rica. We celebrate that a self managed, independent and free region with lots of cultural, history and land freely decided to join the Costa Rica country and become on of it's provinces. It's been 196 years where most of the cultural activities have been integrated into our lifestyle.
In fact I have to be very thankful to be able to enjoy being married with a 'guanacasteca' and slowly immerse in their culture and get to know many not so touristic places.
The majority of the tourism visit Guanacaste because of its beautiful beaches but most of the time they missed staying in the little towns where rich cultural knowledge is there in every corner.
'Guanacastecos' are well know for being work people that fully dedicate themselves to the labor and try to to their best, usually they work in agriculture, farms, with cattle or tourism. In any field they usually outperform. I wanted to spend my holiday doing what a Guanacasteco would do working hard and doing as best as he can.
