Jennifer Winn is a former gubernatorial candidate for Kansas. Shortly after her run for governor in 2014 she learned about the travesty of Child Protective Services (CPS) and family courts who take children from non-abusive parents. This changed her.
Once she knew and saw what was happening, she refused to be silent about it. It's not something she could turn away from. She decided this had to stop, and became a voice that is leading a way to confront and change this evil in society. She is on a quest for justice, giving inspirational speeches and calling out government officials and agencies for the injustice they inflict on the children and families they are supposed to help and serve.
Jennifer Winn also joined in the march with Connie Reguli this past September 11, 2018. Activists and professionals gathered in Washington, D.C. to speak out against the unjust practices of the CPS and government. It was live-streamed to hundreds of thousands of viewers, and the District Attorneys' offices of several states. Law, medicinal practices and legislation were talked about in front of the audience. Some of the activists experienced the corruption of the "care" and "protective" system.
Despite not having first-hand encounters with the unjust system that terrorizes many families, Winn is a mother herself, so she can relate. Anyone can relate, as we're all human beings who can recognize the injustice being carried out against so many. She stands with all parents in the fight against the injustice:
I am an advocate who will fight until it is finished and that is the end of the story. I will not remain silent!
During her talks at the events last month, she recounted the story of being approached by a mother at the end of her gubernatorial campaign. At that time of being ignorant to what was happening in America, Jennifer thought the woman was crazy, sounding like a "conspiracy theorist", when she told her that the state was taking children from families.
But the woman persisted after the election campaign. For three weeks the woman would call Jennifer, insisting about the reality of what was happening, and how Jennifer simply didn't understand it, but needed to listen. She begged to meet Jennifer for 30 minutes. Not looking like the woman was going to give up on her efforts to awaken Jennifer, Jennifer agreed to meet the woman in her office.
The mother who met Jennifer brought papers detailing her story. A social worker made allegations, and that was enough for the woman's children to be placed into foster care. 15 months later, Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) placed her children with their abusive father who was on probation for beating them earlier.
She couldn't believe thinking like many "Oh, this is just an isolated case". But she "was going to fix it!" A video was made, and released.
I released that video, and in 24 hours, I had over 500 requests. In a week later, I had over 1,500 requests, and I was floored. I literally, like, for 2 days, I shut down and I cried, because I couldn’t believe the stories I was reading. Everything about this agency that I believed was true was a lie. Everything.
...
Not only are they being harmed, they’re being drugged. I have 5-year olds that we have uncovered, addicted to Xanex, because they want mommy. Excuse me?
Now she knew the truth about the agency of evil who doesn't seem to protect children, but merely takes them for a paycheck and ruins families. Her warrior "spirit" was ignited. Something had risen within her and she hasn't been the same since then.
I cannot un-see what I have just seen. I’m not made to be that woman that sees any type of behavior that’s completely against humanity and keeps walking.
The law is failing families and children all over. The unjustness of courts and lawmakers continue, as they pretend to be there to protect the best interests of the children. The law may say in some cases that they can't simply take children, but that's not the reality.
Where are are children? Are they with you because you know the law? No! They’re not! So now what do we do? Fight. But we do it correctly.
In order to fight the system correctly, Winn says everything needs to be recorded. When laws don't hold the corrupt people accountable for their practices, cameras can step in to bring accountability. Make sure to check with the state laws though. Luckily in Kansas, where Winn is from, there is only a "one-party" consent required.
If people want to stop the injustice, they can't let fear control them, as Jennifer says:
Someone said to me, "Aren't you scared?" No. I'm not. I will never be scared to fight for the future of our children! Never.
Another solution to end the corruption and injustice is to elect people who will actively fight for family rights. Laws that allow secret social files to be created that the parents never know about is unconstitutional. Parents have less rights than people facing criminal charges, as they can never face their accusers. Furthermore, there is often never any clear or convincing evidence to warrant the kidnapping of children.
What are you going to do when law enforcement is showing up to steal your children for a “preponderance” – “a thought” – of some social worker who has no children, probably doesn’t have a degree if she works in Kansas, that are absolutely facilitating the kidnapping of your family?
Jennifer Winn sees the power of the pen as the solution to change the flawed legal system through which the corrupted system operates.
We have to start electing the people that will take the pen away from the criminals that are corporately owned, that don’t care about your kids….
To make that happen, people need to be educated. That's why recording everything is the way forward, she says. Bringing this injustice to light with cameras, videos and audio is how people are going to be exposed to the reality. Exposing the corruption and injustice is what is needed to then bring about a change.
