I read about Tito Ed's () pulling a tengo on the Grand Craftink Opening almost a week ago and I commented on his post that I'd be getting some packs too and so I did that today.
But first, what is Craftink?
Craftink webpage described it as "a play2earn and play2support NFT trading card game." The Craftink Shop was launched but the game is still in the works.
I imagine it would be something fun.
You can read more about the game on its webpage including the roadmap for the year. And here is also the team introduction if you want to see who are the people behind the game.
Buying a pack
The first set of cards called Craftink Editorial Office" cost $3 and contains 5 cards. I was quite excited to have my first and I didn't know what to expect. But the process is actually very simple.
Went to the Craftink page, logged on using my Hive username then went straight to buying a pack. I had a bit of a dilemma what to use for payment but ended up using HBD.
It didn't take long for the transaction to process and for the purchase to be verified.
Checking on the open page, the pack is already there.
I just couldn't wait to open them of course!
And here they are being revealed. No Holo but at least I got a Character Card that is Ultra Rare, the Hive Whale. The Pillow is an uncommon React card, Fillink and Ginger Shot are both common are categorized as Item cards.
With character cards, you will be able to fight as befits a trading card game. However, there is another special type of character card - the Officer. You can only have one of them in your deck and it is harder to play than some other "normal" character cards. But once you have played it, you can use the powerful officer abilities. Do you want to build a powerful deck around an Officer or even build decks to counter other Officers? - Source
You can read more about the cards categories and descriptions on this post.
I do wonder what the numbers 0 on the Character card represents. I'm guessing the 1 on the card is the rarity.
Okay, so I bought these booster packs, now what?
I'd either trade them on the market or just hold them and wait for the game to come out. I'd go for the latter. I believe this is something good!
I'm pretty happy with the first pack that I have opened. And I may buy another pack again and see what comes up next after these Editorial Office. It will be interesting to see how the game develops.
Until then, we'll have to wait :)
