So I was getting used to having long lines at my mom's bank, Bank of America. But today I took a picture of where we would normally be when going to the back of the line.
Well, no line on this side of the building. So today the line is short. It is mostly at the front of the building.
So mom and I got through a lot quicker this day. We were required to do a ticket. Mom is not used to doing tickets. They usually fill out the tickets themselves. So I filled out the ticket in the line.
At my own credit union I don't have to fill out any tickets. I asked my mom if she wanted to join my credit union cause she wouldn't have to fill out the tickets at my credit union.
Well, anyway I grabbed a handful of tickets and told my mom that we will just have to fill them out at her house. This way we won't have to worry about it.
So we got out of there with mom doing a couple of transactions.
Then we went to the Dollar Tree Store. Well, I am liking that store more and more. Today they had 70% rubbing alcohol, that is good as last time I bought a 50% rubbing alcohol.
I like the Dollar Tree Store for buying frozen blue berries. Well a 10 oz bag is a dollar. To me that is a good deal. Well, cheaper per oz when compared to the Winco Store I go to.
So I bought a couple of 10 oz bags of blue berries for myself. I am buying the blue berries for my health. They have lots of vitamin C.
Later on I took mom to the other store that we like, Winco Store. I saw that a 5 lb bag of carrots were selling for 2 dollars. I been trying to eat more vegetables and those carrots seem to be at a good price. Mom bought a bag of those carrots too.
During the hotter days a nice cold carrot from the refrigerator sounds pretty good. Plus I read where in WWII the British pilots ate a lot of carrots for their night vision.
Well, I'd like to keep my night vision up too.
There was a good sale on block cheese at $1.98 a pound. I saw that price the last time I was at the store and was glad that the sale is still on, so I bought a couple of packages of the coby jack cheese.
Then I even bought 5 packages of frozen vegetables. These are 32 oz bags that have corn, carrots, green peas, green beans and lima beans. I seem to really like eating these out of the bag and into a bowl and yes, I eat them frozen. They were at $2.28 per bag.
Well, I really like eating cold things during a hot day. Then after eating a couple of bowls of these frozen vegetables, I put some frozen blue berries in the bowl for dessert.
That is what I ate for today along with a can of turkey noodle Progresso soup. I also cooked some boiled chicken, but thought maybe I can eat that tomorrow.
Let's get back to the Winco Store, well mom got everything on her list, so after the checkout we packed up the groceries in the trunk of my 89 Nissan Sentra and I took mom to her house and helped her bring in the groceries.
Well, that was an adventure.
I will see Mom again in a couple of days as I will bring her to my auntie's for a little visit.
Let's end with some scripture, as it is written, Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:2-3.
