Free speech:
I understand that having freedom of speech is to be capable of expressing what you feel, what you think, about any subject, person, object, situation, etc ... of your preference. As long as you do not disturb or personally offend in what or who you express yourself. Because everything has a limit, even freedom of opinion has its borders.
I am the first generation of immigrants fleeing from dictatorship. They settled in this country, Venezuela. Where with much sacrifice, they worked from sunrise to sunset to manage to support a family of six children.
In my parents' country there was no free speech when they got here. Here I was born, here I grew up, in a country that was beginning to emerge from its own slavery to begin as a free republic.
But for some time now freedom here has also been ending. Many have gone to other countries, looking for the same thing that my parents looked for when they first came to these lands.
My family was numerous before, now we are less. They have all left. And all because they are looking for their long-awaited freedom. There are no liberties, where you cannot comment on the topic you prefer, everything is half done. And it all begins when free speech is curtailed. And you ask me why freedom of expression is important to me.
We are all born free by God's will, because He made us free through Christ. But it is the man in his endeavor to be the owner of everything, who always wants to restrict freedom.
You always have to fight for free expression. It's there that the dignity of the human being begins to be lost. It's free expression that which makes us free, and whenever we have it clear in mind, we must give what we have for it. Otherwise we will begin to be slaves of our own thoughts and we will end up losing everything.
Sure but you are free to think otherwise, if you prefer.

Libertad de expresión:
Entiendo que tener libertad para expresar, es decir lo que sientes, lo que opinas, de el tema, persona, objeto, situación, etc... que prefieras. Siempre y cuando no perturbes, ni ofendas en forma personal en lo que o de quien te expreses. Por que todo tiene un límite, hasta la libertad para opinar tiene sus fronteras.
Soy primera generación de inmigrantes huyendo de dictadura. Se instalaron en este país, Venezuela. Donde con mucho sacrificio, trabajaron de sol a sol para conseguir mantener una familia de seis hijos.
En el país de mis padres no había libertad de expresión cuando llegaron aquí. Aquí nací, aquí crecí, en un país que estaba comenzando a salir de su propia esclavitud para iniciarse como república libre.
Pero desde hace algún tiempo la libertad aquí, también se ha ido terminando. Muchos se han ido a otros países, buscando lo mismo que buscaron mis padres cuando se vinieron para estas tierras.
Mi familia, antes numerosa, ahora somos menos. También se han ido. Y todo porque? Buscando la tan ansiada libertad. No hay libertades, en donde no puedes opinar sobre el tema que prefieras, todo es a medias. Y todo comienza cuando es cercenada la libertad de expresión. Y me preguntas porque para mí es importante la libertad de expresión.
Todos nacemos libres por voluntad de Dios, porque Él a través de Cristo, nos hizo libres. Pero es el hombre en su empeño por ser dueño, que siempre quiere coartar la libertad.
Siempre hay que luchar por la libre expresión. Es por allí que se comienza a perder la dignidad del ser humano. Es la libre expresión la que nos hace libres, y siempre que lo tengamos claro en mente, debemos dar lo que tenemos por ella. Sino empezaremos a ser esclavos de nuestros mismos pensamientos y terminaremos por perderlo todo.
Claro pero eres libre de pensar de otro modo, si así lo prefieres.
