Presentation helps quite a bit to keep the reader's interest and attention in your blog.
Sometimes filling up the entire screen with an image creates a word block when you want the text to keep flowing.
Wrapping isn't really the correct term because the text doesn't move with the image. Floating like that chessboard is the proper terminology.
If you want to place an image to the right or left of your text, it takes a bit of simple code. You place the code directly into the text editor as you write.
I can't write the code here because it will disappear into the final viewing mode.
However, I'll float this image of a leaf to the right so you can see what I mean.
I'll also take a screenshot of the code and explain how to use it within your text. It's not tough to do and you can copy/paste or cut it to find the best placement.
So there you see the leaf on the right with the text to the left. Use the DIV code in the middle of the text below to float your image.
If you wanted to float the image to the left, you would simply replace it with the word 'right' in the code.
Be careful to leave the remaining code exactly as it is if you change from right to left.
Copy that code that starts with the less than symbol until the last greater than symbol.
Now there's one last step
When you use that code in your own text, you'll have to separate it and place your image in the middle line.
See how the final code with the leaf image in it appears in the image below.
Does that make sense? Copy and paste the code in the first image where you want to float an image.
Then move the final line of code down and place your image between the 1st line of code and the last. Uses line spaces in between.
That's it! Now you know how to float an image to the right or left and keep the text flowing in your blog.
Happy Hiveing!
