We have another snow day in Nova Scotia. Nooooo! I need to see sunshine and feel the spring breeze.
However, I see white snow from my window. My dog is always happy and silly. He enjoys this wet snow.
We have a long weekend for four days. Monday is the Easter holiday. The province announced that we should not go out and stay home. Some people are still trying to go out for a drive and if they will get fined. The Nova Scotia premier said
“Stay the blazes home!”
This phrase became famous. Blaze means fire or strong light and also it's a substitute for swearing. He looks very gentle and he is very tall. I was thinking about what is a good translation for this phrase. This is a pretty strong warning. What is your idea?
During the lockdown, I’m losing my sense of the week which I was hoping for a long time. Now, I don't feel special feelings with the calendar because we should stay home anyway.
The calendar was controlling us for a long time and sometimes it's not connected to natural seasonal events. Hmm, our life is definitely changing.

と、以前に忠告しました。このフレーズは有名になりました。ノバスコシア州の首相は優しそうな見た目で、ものすごく背が高い方です。
ブレイズには炎とか強い光などの意味のほかに、人をののしる時などの意味もありますね。どんな翻訳がいいでしょうか？みなさんだったらどんな翻訳にしますか？結構強い表現ですよね。“家にいろと言っているだろ！” とかでしょうか。
ロックダウンの最中は、曜日感覚がなくなりつつあります。忙しい時はカレンダーなんかなければいいのにと願っていたのですが、家にいなくてはならなくなると、なくなればいいのにとも思わなくなりますね。いずれにせよ家にいなくてはならないのですから。
人間はずいぶんと長い間カレンダーにコントロールされてきました。自然な四季の流れにそっていない行事も多かったです。今、わたしたちの生活は確実に変化しています。そんな中、日々最前線で働いている医療関係の方やその他の方に感謝しかないです。
