If you do not know me yet - my name is Irina and I'm an artist from Russia. I will be glad to find new friends).
Today I will show you the drawing of a lion.
For the drawing, I used alcohol markers «Sketchmarker», «Potentate», «Touch», white permanent and black watercolor pencils.
Used colors: orange, yellow, umbra, gray, pink, red.
I drew the countours with a pencil.
With a yellow marker I painted the fur of the lion, showing the direction of the hairs by lines.
Then I used the main orange color in the picture. I repeated the marker lines, made earlier in yellow. This is necessary for the gradual increase in depth and volume.
Then I made the dark tones in the drawing. For this I used brown color and umbra. With movement of markers I repeated lines of the previous colors. I drew details - nose and eyes of the animal.
I darken the shadows using a dark gray marker. The picture gradually acquires volume.
To made fur looking believable, drew it with a white permanent pencil and black watercolor pencil. I drew with permanent pencil a glare on the nose and eyes. I painted the background in blue.
Added a few final touches, analyzing the picture as a whole. The picture is ready.
