Autumn Fire
Autumn paints a vibrant swath with her luscious firey brush; crimson, orange and burnished gold, eyes a masterpiece beholds.
Crisp with season's coming chill,
Beaches empty once were filled.
Geese, tireless, fill the skies
Wild formations, wings spread wide, heading south to warmer nests,
Wisdom in each feathered breast.
Oh so brief, she enters in,
Majestic lady dancing by
Summer fires, we huddled near
Only ashes in the night.
Memories remain to warm
As the time still marches on.
We will see her yet again,
Once passed a winter long,
Autumn, you are filled with grace
A beauty brief, your lovely face.
