I'm an avid period drama fan. (Queen) Victoria, originally broadcast by iTV in the UK and then PBS in the US, follows the accession to the throne of the young monarch at age 18, her courtship and marriage to Prince Albert, and her life and events following, including the birth of her numerous children. Currently, three seasons have aired.

The historical accuracy is a little off-kilter in some of the sub-plot lines, which is to be expected for dramatic purposes, but many factual events remain, including the Anglo-Afghan War, to some extent the 1840s Famine in Ireland, The Great Exhibition of 1851, and the assassination attempts. It's a great series, although the marital bickering depicted between Victoria and Albert throughout is a little overdone.
I created this illustration inspired by the below reference image. I can't find the original source of the photoshoot, so if anyone knows the source please let me know so I can credit it.
I’m in Australia, so I watched the series on BBCFirst, but you can now get it on iTunes or on DVD.

I rate my period drama viewings with either a ‘would watch it over and over again’, ‘enjoyed it very much but wouldn’t watch it again’, and ‘I did not enjoy it’.
