I took this photo in 2017 and have been trying to recreate this result ever since. I wanted something set apart from the normal silhouette photography – with NO post-production effects. It's especially difficult with my Olympus E600 and no specialty lenses or lighting effects. I took dozens of shots that day, but only two came out as I'd hoped. My model was extremely cooperative, especially when you consider she was a random person I accosted in front of the old post office and asked to photograph. When you also factor in that it was January and she obligingly removed her coat in ±50°F temperatures, her sunny cooperation with a completely random, crazy ginger was extraordinary!
