When I visited the one of the house of wood carver in Bali, I feel astonished. There were some bonsai (little trees) growing in small pots the house yard. You have probably seen many bonsais, but these ones were different. Just look at these photos.
The first bonsai has a carving of a scary figure with long hair carved on the the trunk of the bonsai. It is carved in the way following the shape of the trunk. It's a carving of a man or a woman bending his or her body to look something on the floor. (well, it's just how I see it).
On the second look, from a different angle, he or she look like a shaman. What do you think? Well, surely you can say he is a man looking from this angle.
The second bonsai had a man wearing a traditional hat. I think he was rice farmer. He was planting rice plant in the rice field. And his face couldn't be more scarier. So, a scary rice farmer he is.\
