It was november and the anniversary of her grandmothers death was near. It was friday night, she was all alone when weird things started to happen.
It began with the radio turning on and off, the lights were flashing though she didn’t pay much attention to it as she thought the electric currents were going crazy again. Then she felt a shiver down her spine, her brain froze and thoughts of suicide were going through it. She calmed down and thought it’s because she watched too many horror movies and was having an anxiety attack, then she heard a strange sound coming from the bathroom and a peculiar voice she knew from long ago. This isn’t anxiety, this is real! She ran to her room in hopes of safety, but the safe haven was not better at all. All she could hear was the ticking of the clock, it was getting cold, like she was laying in snow and the cold went into her bones, so she took another blanket and covered herself. Some time had passed, she calmed down and was about to fall asleep. The door squeaked and it felt like someone laid down next to her, so she instinctively punched behind her back yet no one was there, but the feeling remained… she managed to fall asleep.
The next morning was the anniversary of the death, so she and her parents went to the graveyard to light some candles in her memory. As they were driving, past the building where grandma used to live she felt the same shiver as the night before. Her grandma used to love looking out the window and observing the life around her so she looked from the car straight to that window and she could swear that her grandma was sitting there, looking through the window straight into her eyes, cold and lifeless. Her breath froze and she thought that in the blink of a second it could have been illusion.. but perhaps not.
