Faith is the certainty of what is expected and the conviction of what is not seen. Faith is a gift from God, very appreciated: without Faith it is impossible to please God. Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
The word of the Lord was written for people who did not have genuine faith. Faith is not believing what one knows is not true, nor believing something for which there is no evidence.
Therefore, the public record of God (the Bible) as John Calvin called it is a book written to be believed by faith.

We as Christians know what we believe and who we believe as the Apostle Paul said. Faith is the primary link that brings us closer to the author of life with a trusting love as the Lord himself said that if we had faith as a child, that is, a trust and confidence in the Father as a baby has with their parents.
Finally, we can lurk in the scriptures in Hebrews 11 which is dedicated to the heroes of the faith. You could be one similar to them, because God does not respect people. The Lord rewards expectant faith. Believe the word of God, preach it, live it and the rest will be added by the Lord.
