Time is so relative before the big situations...
Just a few weeks ago the optimism, energy and passion of the entire mission team made him feel certain that the goal would be achieved. All the planning done by the brightest minds available, the unlimited resources that were provided, the prayers and good intentions of each of the inhabitants of the planet guaranteed success. The whole plan had been set in motion with the precision and accuracy of a Swiss watch, everything was covered, everything planned.
Even if everything still failed to count on contingency measures, the apparent magnitude of the threat was eclipsed by the feverish work of a whole humanity protecting its existence, it was impossible to fail. Just a few days ago his work was so clear, it was just a matter of taking off, 48 hours of flight on the shuttle and reaching the goal. Any problem in Armageddon I, would be covered with Armageddon II and if both failed still had him, Captain Aldrin and his experienced team. Everything planned.
Still could not believe what happened in just a few hours, a ferry exploded on the platform that way was not normal, even less that Armageddon II lost power to leave the stratosphere and gravitating without direction. The nightmare became reality when its shuttle was caught by the orbit of the asteroid crashing on the surface and becoming unusable to finish the mission, they became the passengers of death.
As they all left, they prayed for an early return to their beloved planet earth, salvation was possible, the future belonged to them. Now with a dry mouth, forehead pearled with sweat and a grimace of terror on his face, the crew prayed that a miracle would take them away from their destiny, from their home, only a few minutes separated them from the hecatomb that they could not now having.
Forty-five, forty-four, forty-three ... above the blue and clear sky the asteoride stood out in its bite, its monstrous appearance of metal and molten rock, was the harbinger of the forced disappearance of the planet earth, only seconds separated us from the holocaust ... if only you could stop the time.
It is a pleasure for me to share with you my literary exercise, for the dynamic that daily organizes for
