Mais Non!
FRANCE SAYS NO TO FREEDOM
This is probably old news to most here but the CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov, was arrested in France as he arrived there in his private jet. He was charged with alleged crimes including something called "unlicensed cryptology". What?
In the video I talk about how France, the land of "Liberty", requires a licence to practice said liberty! What has the world come to? Apparently Pavel, a citizen of at least four countries, hasn't bent to their request to monitor, and potentially censor, Telegram.
In an update not included in the video, the UAE, one of the countries of which Durov is a citizen, is fighting back. They want him released immediately. So much so, that they've put their money where their mouth is and paused the buying of military jets from France. Now that's serious stuff. If I were Pavel, I'll drop the French citizenship, one of the four, and double down on the UAE one. I'd perhaps grab the El Salvador passport to, which you can get for a sum of money.
Peace & Love,
Adé
